The underpinning theme for Bushmead is a “community shaped by nature”, which has guided the overall planning and design of the estate. Awarded the UDIA’s 6-Leaf Enviro Development Accreditation and the UDIA WA 2020 Award for Environmental Excellence, PLAN E collaborated with Cedar Woods and a dedicated consultant team to ensure its long-term sustainability for the community.

The design of this last park in the Northern Precinct encapsulates the vision for a neighbourhood surrounded by beautiful natural bushland.

The topography of the site and dense stands of retained trees juxtapose with striking, geometric forms and light colours of the new landscape to create a dynamic and engaging environment.

This dynamic quality is accentuated through the use of organic forms and earthy tones in other sections of the park, encouraging both creative and imaginative play. Paired with restful places for gathering and contemplation, an events lawn with outdoor movie screen, picnic facilities, connected pathways and a gravel bike track, this is an ideal community park to immerse yourself in.
