PLAN E was engaged as part of its long standing commitment with Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority, to create a world class attraction to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Park.
The Botanic Terraces and Pavilion presents as an individual and unique landscape seamlessly integrated within the overall theme and aesthetic of the Western Australian Botanic Garden. The pavilion is designed as a belvedere, commanding long views over the Swan River to the south and southeast. Its location is on a key view line within Kings Park and Botanic Garden, being the May Drive view line to the south over the Swan and Canning Rivers. Universal access to both the Botanic Terraces and Pavilion is provided from the Fraser Avenue precinct primary pedestrian circulation system.
We acknowledge and respect Traditional Owners across Australia as the original custodians of our land and waters, their unique ability to care for country and deep spiritual connection to it. We honour Elders past, present and emerging whose knowledge and wisdom has and will ensure the continuation of cultures and traditional practices.
